申请到时段的研究学者不必须前来鹿林天文台观测，观测助手将代为观测并将资料传送给使用者。此外鹿林天文台可以接纳研究学者亲自前来观测。鹿林一米望远镜（LOT）所使用的相机配备Sophia 2048B CCD和TRIPOL，主要滤镜是U BVRI与SDSS g' r' i' z'以及部分彗星/S2 O3 Ha等滤镜。

=== LOT Call-of-Proposal: 2018C Semester ===
This is call-of-proposal for Lulin One-meter Telescope (LOT) for Semester 2019C (from 01 September to 31 December, 2019). The proposal is divided into two categories:
Education -- use the latex template given in LOT_Proposal_Education.zip for this category.
Research -- use the latex template given in LOT_Proposal_Research.zip for this category.
Deadline: *** 05 August 2019 (before midnight local Taiwan time) ***

(A) Following nights are not available 14-15 September -- Engineering/Full Moon
13-14 October -- Engineering/Full Moon
12-13 November -- Engineering/Full Moon
12-13 December -- Engineering/Full Moon
(B) Starting 2019A Semester, about 8-12 (continuous) nights per months of LOT time will be given to a Large Program.
(C) Observers can choose either Apogee U42 or Sophia 2048B CCD as LCI (Lulin Compact Imager), please specify in the proposal. If not the Spohia 2048B will be the default LCI.
(D) Hiyoyu spctrograph (LCS) is no longer available
(E) We strongly encourage observers (especially students) to be presented at the Lulin Observatory, instead of queue observing

* maximum 2 hr ToO interruption per night; please negotiate/inform the original PI in advance or you need more than 2 hours per night
* please sent the ToO request to Lulin observing staff (Chi-Sheng and Hsiang-Yao) * the original PI/observer remained the right to accept/decline ToO
The accepted proposals and schedule for 2019B Semester will be announced at Lulin's website (www.lulin.ncu.edu.tw) on 16 August 2019 (or later).
Acknowledgment: LOT users are required to include the following statement in their publication:
